Hyperpro progressive fork springs for different Harley Davidson Softail Models from 2018 incl. fork oil
The original setup of all HD Softail fork causes in multiple aspects a problem. For example the fork dives to deep in calm conditions (negative springway). This isn’t available as useful spring way. Together with the too soft setup the maximum spring way has been reached while taking the break very softly. Is the fork completely dived in and you take the break additionally the pressure is too high and you can’t control the front wheel anymore. There is no more damping by the spring on uneven pavement. The tire can’t stick to the pavement anymore and is tending to block. This can’t just happen while a fast ride, even with slow speed while taking the break or turning. The maximum spring way is reached and the ride seems insecure and wobbly. This is why we developed the progressive fork spring especially for the HD Softail together with the company Hyperpro. Even during calm conditions the fork spring reduces the diving (negative spring way). While the fork dives in lightly the spring is minimal harder. The progressive construction of the springs causes the rising of the spring power and the completely diving in will be prevented. If you take the break there will be a rest of spring way available. This causes less pressure for the front wheel and allows a bigger brake power. This makes the stopping distance shorter. These benefits are useful for everyday on the street as well as for a fast ride. The angle of inclination will be changed and so the foot pegs will not hit the ground and the shuttle affinity will be dropped as well. Every Hyperpro fork spring kit will be delivered with a mounting instruction as well as the special synthetic fork oil.
